My daughter loves stuffed animals. Really, she loves animals in general. She has always wanted to be a veterinarian and i wouldn’t be at all surprised if she does become one when she’s older.
We have bought countless stuffed animals for her over the years. When she has some money of her own and I take her to the store to shop, she inevitably goes straight to the stuffed animals. So, when I told her to look online at Douglas Toys and select her favorite stuffed animal, she was thrilled!
She spent about an hour just browsing the site. All the choices! How could she possibly decide. There are plush cat’s, plush wildlife, and plush dog’s. She finally was able to narrow it down to her favorite 3 and I helped her choose from there. She ended up choosing the Puzzle Calico Cat. So the order went in and the waiting for it to arrive began.
I know when you’re a child it’s incredibly hard to wait, especially for something you really want. This was the case for Carley. She asked every day if her cat arrived. Luckily for me, it didn’t take long for it to come in. It arrived while she was in school, so I took it out of the box and sat it on her bed. When she came home and saw it, she jumped up and down she was so delighted!
My husband and I both checked out the cat for quality; it’s incredibly well made. He was happy to note that you can’t feel one seam in this toy. It’s so soft and, well, cuddly. I’m amazed at how incredibly “real” this cat appears. There have been several times where Carley has laid it down somewhere and I’ve walked up on it and had that split-second moment of hesitation thinking it was real. Of course, she thinks this is funny.
Now that her cat is finally here it hasn’t left her side. She sleeps with it every night and plays with it every day. The cat has made several trips with us. Including one trip to the store where another shopper remarked on what a cute cat. Carley just beamed from ear-to-ear.
For Christmas I’ve thought about ordering her another stuffed animal. However, when checking out the website some more I found several other options. Aren’t these silo purses adorable? Carley would love the butterfly one. What about this toy purse? It’s so cute!
