Crock Pot Chicken

This is one of our go-to meals. It’s good and easy to prepare. Plus, you can serve it over rice, potatoes, or noodles (our personal favorite), so it’s like a different meal each time you make it. Yes, I really do put a coke in it.. it may sound strange, but it’s oh so good!

Here’s how you make it:

Crock Pot Chicken

boneless skinless chicken breasts (this is what we use but you can use your favorite cut of chicken)
1-2 cans cream of mushroom soup (depending on how much chicken you use)
1 can coke (generic is fine)

Rinse the chicken and place evenly in the bottom of your crock pot, cover with cream of mushroom soup and pour in the can of coke. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. Serve over noodles, rice or potatoes.

optional: add cut-up veggies to the crock pot when placing in all the other ingredients. Veggies that work great are carrots, potatoes, and onions.

  1. I would never guess of putting coke in there. What does it do exactly? I often make chicken and add cream of chick soup and sour cream, but I’ll have to give the coke a try!

  2. The coke adds just a touch of sweetness and the acidity in it makes the meat just fall apart. It’s so tender and juicy. I also make my pot roast this way.
I like the idea of cream of chicken soup and sour cream.. we may have to try that too.
